Going all in....

A full faith verse

Bible books are the oldest books, and one book among them is the oldest book among the oldest books in the Bible. In the book of Job, Job says of his troubles though He slay me yet will I hope in Him (Job 13:15). I call this one of my "no matter what" versesThis is one of those verses where I draw full faith, where I am all in. This is where energy comes from, emotion. Energy divided by motion equals emotion. Without emotion, without passion, there is no energy to translate the intellect into being. This is how, I believe, a thought becomes a thing.

Death for the body is

Life eternal for the spirit

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

I always wondered why we should go on the cross, after all Jesus did that for us. It seemed a little presumptuous for us to do the same, since it was He who went on the cross for eternal life and forgiveness of our sins, not us.

However. for myself, this was never a stumbling block. I could go either way because for me, rejecting the body meant acceptance of the spirit. This is being glorified in the spirit, from my view, where in my precious circle I am the only one left in the body. On the other hand, it might be liberating to suffer in the body as embracing the spirit.

Muddy waters

God speaks only good into existence.  It is we who muddy the waters.

How God changes things....

God Himself does not change, but He can change things by speaking whatever it is into existence. This is what faith does for us providing we believe what we say. When Jesus said do you believe I can do this? She answered yes and then Jesus said therefore be it done to you according to your faith. Notice it was according to her faith in Jesus' faith. But she had to believe it. I was told by a pastor that, in his Sunday school class they decided that since only one of the two men they prayed for received healing, that therefore God changed His mind. First of all God does not change His mind, they stopped believing. It is we who changed our minds, not God. They stopped believing. If you believe you persist, and if you quit, then you did not persist, you gave up. They did not have enough faith apparently, I say apparently because God already has healed people when He sent His only Son to die on the cross. That was when the temple curtain between God and man was rent top to bottom. The people did not have to go through anyone to get to God anymore, they could go directly. Jesus was the last sacrifice.

Words Reveal Character

Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. Matt 12:33 Jesus

Confession

"Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven." Matt 10:32  I, Spencer G Corkum confess Jesus Christ before all. See "Persistence....." in the left most column on the opening first screen of this site, Manna.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. Ps 27:4

Setbacks can provide the platform to reach higher ground amid successes I could not envision at the time. So, does it not say somewhere that the Lord turns evil into good?

Purpose of passion is power

Ecclesiastes 7:24 Far off is true existence, and very deep; who may have knowledge of it?

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)

Youth Renewed like the Eagle's

We tell more about ourselves when we talk about someone else than we tell about the person we are talking about.

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that, is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies. Who satisfies your mouth things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalms 103:1-5

It is comforting to read these verses, to believe that existence is in our favor, as we speak it.

Believing and Agreeing

"What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Mark 11:24

I wonder about believing and agreeing, they are obviously not the same, altho I get the distinct impression going along with is the strength behind some comments I've heard. In fact, I can always wonder about myself.

Night Verses for healing and comfort

"and he....healed all that were sick: "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esais the prophet , saying Himself took our infirmities , and bare our sicknesses." Matt 8:16-17

Premier healing verse

.Isaiah 53:4-5, (KJV), "Surely he has borne our griefs and sicknesses, and carried our sorrows and pains; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our inequities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

This is the premier healing verse. God has already healed us, we do not have to convince Him, we have to convince ourselves. To build faith for healing, it would seem to me, one should read it deeply and never stop reading it into the reflexes of one's over riding thought. And that no matter how long, uninterrupted persistence is the bedrock of faith.  (Notice this verse is from the Old while the previous verse is from the New.)

Definition of the seen and the unseen....

The seen is the directive domain of changing physical sciences while the unseen is the emotional hub or origin of its' energy and power. There are many spirits, more than a few of which delightfully attract, then once established gtadually consume their host. Destructive spirits once they've taken control are difficult to dislodge. See below for Corinthians in the KJV.

2 Cor 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

For the momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Think on these things...

  1.  Curious  how it seems I am attracted to read what I need to read most, yet find  the same passages easy to overlook perhaps because they are known so well, and are so personally vital to keep constant in my spirit. Such a verse was written by Paul he wrote in his, at least in my view, popular letter to the Philippians 4:8
  2. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

2 Cor 4:16-18 the seen will not survive the unseen

The KJV, also the ESV English Standard Version  is good. Never give up. Since our bodies are wasting away, never look for the things that are seen, but to the unseen because the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Helpful reading device.......

........are these color coded dots I  place alongside verses that interest or encourage me for various reasons. It highlights a page steering me to read only the important verses I found previously.  This would be helpful in bypassing the less interesting ones, of which there are so many. I call those the "begats".

Some Bible verses more important....

....than others. It is good to know where the healing verses are if you are suddenly sick. It is good to know where the faith verses are if you are unexpectedly attacked by doubts. It is good to know where the comfort verses are in Psalms, when you are discouraged.

...enduring hostility....

"....consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart." Hebews 12:3
